TrueTheater Motion not working with Blu Rays

I can get TrueTheater Motion to work with DVDs, but not Blu rays. When playing a Blu Ray the TrueTheater Motion checkbox is not greyed out, but checking it does not enable the effect.

TT-Motion is not designed for BD - it is an confirmed UI issue that the option is available while BD playback.
