I have PD 11 Deluxe installed on a another machine, I upgraded to a better machine and purchased the Ultra upgrade to 64 bit. When installing the program, it recognizes that this new machine has no previous version of PD on it, however, it asks for the key of a previous version, I enter it in and the setup wizard continues for a bit and then hangs. . .and won't go any further. You have to ctl-alt-delete to get it to stop? I shut down my anti-virus and attempted it again. .. still the same results. I have sent cyberlink an email asking support to call me. . .they haven't yet. They don't have a phone number you can call. . .what a joke. Wondering if someone on here might be able to help.

I thought about going on cyberlinks website and installing the old version on this new machine to see if that would remove the glitch during the install. . .however, I can't even figure out how to re-download the old version from the website. It seem about the only thing that works is the part where they take your money. . .then its all down hill from there. Anyone reading this thinking about buying this software.. .please.. .go somewhere else. . .its not worth it.

Hi Darrin383,
The thing you really needed to do was to provide some worthwhile information for members here to work on, to try and assist you, EVEN THOUGH you've posted a final sentence that wouldn't encourage anyone!

Guide for you to read: http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/24771.page
The introduction questions and Part B.

Clear out all Temp files from Windows.

The older version activation code you needed to insert should be PDR10 or earlier.

You should allow the installation of PDR11 to have access to the internet - looks likely you have a firewall block preventing PDR11 from connecting and confirming the activation code.

Use CLCleaner tool before attempting to re-install PDR11
FAQ: http://www.cyberlink.com/support/product-faq-content.do?id=14946

Due to the lack of information, I'm guessing here.

I appreciate your reply. . .cyberlink on the other hand. . .I have no respect for them what so ever! Poor way of doing business in my opinion. I deleted the original download and re-downloaded it again just out of pure boredom. . .went through the install process again and low and behold it worked. I will give this a try. . .but. . .I don't have my hopes to high that PD will not hang up, glitch, freeze etc as the previous versions have. . .then having no tech support to call when you need help with their product, its very frustrating.

Thanks for your help. . .
