At how much FPS show I record to display the slow motion in the video with video game footage?

I'd like to make one video in a video game, and I need a slow motion moment in it, then upload it on YouTube. The problem is I don't quite understand how does the slow motion effect works. So I can't imagine in my head the proper way of recording it.

Do I have to record a footage in 60 FPS or even more then apply the slow motion effect and render it in 30 FPS since YouTube will accept and downgrade every video to 30 FPS either way.

Or I'm just ruining my video quality by recording it in 60 FPS then forcing PowerDirector to re-render it in 30 FPS, so I should record in 30 FPS the original footage?

Sorry if question is confused, that's the best way I could have describe it.

You should record the game at normal fps and bit rate. I.E. 30 fps and a bit rate that does not exceed 15 to 20 Mbps.

Bring that video into Powerdirector, place on the timeline, select it.
Power Tools, Video Speed.
If you want 1/2 speed (slow motion) your speed factor is 0.5X.
You can preview the video speed to see if that is the effect you want.

Once you have the speed you want, Produce to the Video output format you wish.
You must Produce it to make the change permanent.

If you record at 60fps it'll smooth out slow-mo's but will increase the file size and i have had rendering times increased because of this before.
To be honest i find it best just to record at 30 due to it being more convenient and you hardly notice the choppiness of slow-mo's usually... (So long as you don't go past .50 speed it should turn out fine)
