Does anybody have experience in this:
I am planning to use Atomos Ninja2 with my camcorder, and need to choose between Apple ProRes and Avid DNxHD codec for Atomos output. Can either of these codecs be imported to PowerDirector 10 or 11 - and then edited there and finally output to any format PowerDirector supports ? If not, is there any workaround?

I do not know if either of those formats will work in Powerdirector 11, I don't have the specs for PD 10.

Specs for Powerdirector 11:
http://www.cyberlink.com/products/powerdirector-ultra/specs_en_US.html

You could try the Powerdirector 11 Trial, It is crippled in the HD H.264 formats.

http://www.cyberlink.com/downloads/trials/powerdirector-ultra/download_en_US.html

In the Trial program, H.264 only works in Windows 7 or Windows 8.

PD 11 Ultra trial limits:
Limitations
•30-day working trial
•SmartSound Library trial version
•Reduced templates pack
•Reduced NewBlue effect pack to 10 effects
•Does not include the WaveEditor program
•Importing and production of H.264 video files is only supported on Windows 7/8 or hardware platforms offering independent H.264 encoding
•Watermark at the beginning of produced videos (5 seconds)

Thanks for the answers.
As Carl suggests, and Xerox experiences, I will try the PD11. I will tell about the experience after testing.

Experience with PD10 and DNxHD:

With the PD10 I tried the "Avid DNxHD codec, .mov file format - 177MB file"
from http://www.clipcanvas.com/a/video-clip-downloads.

PD10 crashes already on import to Media room. Strangely (!?), one single time, the PD10 accepted it, and I produced a MP4. I did not record what I did specially that time, but I have not managed to repeat it. However, If I import the pds (Import Project-function) which did not crash, to a new PDS-project, then I can use that, and again import new (a copy of the first .mov file) into Media Room and proceed normally.

So, I downloaded the PD11 trail version. I am testing with the same AVID DNxHD files (as with the PD10). Now working just fine.
Thanks for the hint!
