Preview quality is bad... :(

Hello everyone,

I've never asked a question here before and I hope you can help me.

I have so far created about 4 minutes of footage for a video I am making. When I play back what I have done so far everything seems "pixelish" a little compared to the original files which look great. I clicked one of the videos i had imported and when it plays back it looks fine but as soon as i add it to the project it looks bad?

Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

Hi Andre M,
You have one or both of the following.
1. The Preview player settings are set too low.
2. You have opted to create shadow edit files and you are previewing a shadow file rather than a HD higher resolution one.

Actions you can carry out includes
a) altering the Preview player settings, square icon under player.
b) Provide members with a screenshot and a diagnostic file and you can be advised to keep or opt out of shadow file generation.

Good thing is that even with the preview settings set to lower quality the final output will be crisp and clean.
