magic motion tool has stopped working/no templates will appear

Hi there,
I've been workings with pd10 for a year now and all of a sudden the magic motion tool will no longer work. No templates will come up. This happened while in mid project.

I have an 8 gig with a 1gig video card/64bit windows 7

I've tried reinstalling the program but it did not help.

Any suggestions?

Me too i have had the same problem as you. Was working and suddenly stopped working.
Are you using Microsoft Security Essential?
I believe that after i installed the microsoft product my magic motion stopped working.
Have tried everything from uninstalling and reinstalling, it just does not work.
Apparently we are not the only one having that problem.

Hi Both,
As a follow up - I'd like to check whether the issue occured in updating windows or installing "Microsoft Security Essential"? CyberLink have been unable to replicate the issue after installing Microsoft Security Essential and would like more data please.

i did not install microsoft security but did have an update before it happened. I usually don't have this computer online, it's my audio/video computer, but occasionally i'll put it online, I had to download a driver for my music software and an update occured.

Can't get it to work, is there any other suggestions you have? If I upgrade to 11 will I still going to have the same problem?

Hi Bh23,
Thank you for the update. The issue you're experiencing has been mentioned a couple of time in the PDR10 forum but nothing conclusive to resolve the problem. Most likely cause is a change on your system has corrupted a driver. An uninstall/re-install should overwrite everything PDR10 + Content packs.

PDR11 doesn't have the motion tool templates missing issue as far as I can recall.
