I have PowerDirector 11, Windows 7

I am trying to speed up a clip. I click "Power Tools" then check beside "Video Speed"
I adjust the slider to a speed I want.

It just shortens the video. It doesn't speed it up. Something I am missing?

Did you play the video after you produced it?

Shorting of the video is normal when you speed it up.

I speed up videos all the time. I will shoot an hour of Clouds, then speed them up 10x or More.
The speeded up video is about one to two minutes, but the cloulds move very fast.

It is sped up when produced but not when previewed.

Your statement is not correct, otherwise you have a very underpowered computer.

How long is the clip when it is not sped up? How much did you speed it up? Gateway DX4380, AMD A8-5500 Quad Core 3.2GHz with ATI Radeon HD 7560D; 16GB RAM; 1 TB SATA 7200 RPM; Windows 8 Pro 64-bit; PDR11, PDVD12.

[I am trying to speed up video to look like time lapse. It looks stop and start and jerky. I tried producing a small portion tonight but it still looks choppy after I produced it. I think I have a pretty powerful computer and I cleaned my c drive for more room. Did all updates. I am frustrated beyond belief with this. I need this for a an art project asap. Can anyone help me?
