always bought powerdvd 12 why can't I install the trial version?
[Post New]
I bought and paid for the Poweredvd12 in Dec 2012 .. Had to uninstall it today I have the 'key' to reinstall but unfortunately the web site for Cyberlink powerdvd12 is only designed for buy and trial only no reinstall..

sent off a support ticket have to wait 48 hours for answer back but in the mean time since I can't go more than few hours with a program to run my dvd's I thought I would install the trial version under another email address and it informs me that my 30 day trial is up .. Huh since when I never had it to start with unless you count the bought program back in December ..

Ideas ??

Log into your customer support account, and see if there is a download link for power dvd 12 in there with your serial so you can install it.

If not, contact customer support and get a new download link from them.

What happened when yoiu went to your acount and looked for the download link?

You will need to remove the trial version. Use either the Cyberlink tool or Revo Uninstaller (in the Moderate Mode only). .

Did you use the Cyberlink Uninstall or Revo to uninstall your program as suggested above? .

OK .. got the CC cleaner and did a through clean on my windows XP pro .. then I did a registry optimize and it found 17 errors .. I then optimized my PC rebooted and checked for all regular PC activities to be working .. Cyberlink is now totally gone .. Installed PowerDVD9 and this time it installed differently it seemed to get more hold of my PC .. .so far so good then I added the update for powerdvd9 and got that installed .. then I checked the program for playback on my regular std dvd's and avi produced dvd's so far so good all is well.. Did a system backup .. then rebooted again and now I am ready for the dvd12 to install.,, it then asks me Do I want to save the pdvd9 settings? .. If I say it NO it goes back to square one nothing happens .. If I say Yes the program for pdvdv12 that I was given to unzip installs and then informs me that it aborted the install because it needs 9 to ride on . I then check my desktop and 9 is gone removed .. so I have to install 9 again.. ( even tried system restore but it is still gone .. The icon is there but nothing happens when I click on it I then install 9 again and for the install of 12 am asked do I want to keep settings and I say No it doesn't give me the install for 12 ..

I'm back to nine again .. But you know I thoroughly enjoyed my free bundled powerdvd6 that i enjoyed for years and years ... BUT then I bought a bluray dvdrom player which meant I had to put out the big bucks for powerdvd12 to enjoy discs on my PC ,,.. but am right now stuck with 9 when I could have kept 6 and not bought 12 for $60 ..

hopefully support will get back to me and fix this problem..

so I can enjoy powerdvd12 ..
