Hi All

I have been using ADr for a while now, however when I open it (either via PD11 or Standalone) I get the follow messsage:

Any ideas?

Note ADr came via the MVP/Director Suite. It has been installed on my computer for approx 6 months and was last used about 3 weeks ago.

Thanks Happing editing

Whoa! That's crazy, Neil. You made me just go check mine. It asked me to register, again. I did and then it opened normally.

Perhaps a re-install is what you must do. You have the s/n, correct? ~Tom~
[Post New]
Hello Neil,

That's very odd, particularly as you've installed it as part of the Director Suite. You've not been getting those alerts in PDR, CDR or PhD?

My ADR was installed as part of the Director Suite too, and I've never had that message. I suspect you've never had a trial version installed. Yes? No?

When you check the "About" window, what version is listed?

Your installer files - are they CL_DRS120719-05.part01.exe... part02.rar... up to part11.rar?

I'd agree with Tom about uninstalling & re-installing, but I'd suggest a registry clean too. Unless, you're not really too bothered by the false message.

Hi Gents

Thanks for the prompt reply

Tom: A reinstall will be my last resort

PIX: I've never had a trial version as this came with the MVP Director Suite thingy.

I can't check s/n's as I'm out for dinner

I'll check-in later

Thanks Happing editing

No alerts for other bundled software - only ADR

No - never had the trial

you check the "About" window, what version is listed?

AudioDirector Trial 3.02030
SR Number: ADR120723-01

installer files - are they CL_DRS120719-05.part01.exe... part02.rar... up to part11.rar?

CL.v2009_5466_Spri_ADR111004-01

I had to click the 'Try Now' button as I wouldn't of been able to open it.

And then I got the H.264 AVC/MPEG4 is not support in ADR trial version pop up window

How very odd

I might wait until the 'trial' version ends and then enter my key code

Very annoying

Hello again Neil,

Ah! The installer name gives a clue.

I hunted through my various folders of CL installers (many) & found the ADR installer CL.v2009_5466_Spri_ADR111004-01 - as I recall, those separate installer files for PDR, ADR, CDR & PhD were initially provided to MVPs in August 2012. Each program had a separate CD key. They were pre-release versions. To my knowledge, they weren't trials.

Director Suite was launched in mid September, 2012. At the time MVPs were provided with the Director Suite package, which was downloaded as an 11 part split file. These installed the whole Director Suite with a single CD key to activate.

I suspect that your Program list in Control Panel has PDR, ADR, CDR & PhD listed separately. Here, it only lists CyberLink Director Suite (screenshot attached).

Neil - do you have that 11 part split set of installer files? CL_DRS120719-05.part01.exe... part02.rar... up to part11.rar If so, I'd suggest a complete uninstall (Revo or CCleaner) of each piece of software & reinstall using the split installer files, followed by applying the latest updates for each. If not, we'll see about getting you access to them.

It's quite confusing because, at the time, a number of different configurations were available.

Hi PIX

I do recall installing the 4 separate downloads for DirectorSuite and then receiving a second link to download Director Suite

As this seemed a bit odd and a tad confusing I did download it but never installed it as I had the 4 four programs working perfectly.

The CL_DRS files I searched for contain these RAR files, but I'm 'missing' part03, part04, part08 and part09 as per screenshot below:

So, do I:

1. Uninstall PDR, CDR, PhDR and ADR and install again from the CDRS installer (some are missing though) files?

2. Uninstall ADR and ask CL for another copy?

OR

Ignore all of the above and use WaveEditor instead

Neil,

Don't do 1. just yet Let me hunt up the complete set of files for you (after CL personnel return from their Chinese New Year break).

It's odd that you're missing some of the files, but I'm sure we can sort it out.

It may be best, under those circumstances, to leave all as it is for now. Might save a bit of duplicated effort later.
