No built in simple Audio controls?

Two questions regarding Audio

1. I accidentally added points on the track volume line and thinking raising or lowering the dot, I experimented with changing volume. But now I have a zig zag line that raised and drops the volume all over and I find no way to a) get rid of all those points, or b) return them all to 50, where they started.

All I wanted was a quick way to raise and lower volume on a track.

2. Is there anywhere to adjust stereo balance.

I have added an audio track. So now I have the video of the band playing in a club, with its audio. And I have another audio track taken from a handheld recorder, which has better bass, but does not pick up the lead guitar well.

I wanted to have both tracks playing now that they are synched, but I wanted to tilt the stereo of the recorder toward the right side, where the bassist is, and have the stereo field of the camcorder pointing toward the left a bit, toward the guitarist and then adjust the volume of each until I got a realistic stereo field.

But I find no audio balance controls available.

IS there some way to adjust stereo balance in Power Director 11?

Thanks

Hi -

To restore the audio clip to previous levels, right click & select "Restore to Original Volume level".

In the Audio Mixing module, use the horizontal slider to adjust track volume.

Balance between stereo channels can be adjusted in WaveEditor by selecting one track only and applying boost or fade.

Right click on the clip and choose 'Restore to original audio level'. That will reset the volume and remove all points. Your best bet to adjust stereo balance is to click on the Edit Audio button. I am not sure if that will work, but I am pretty sure it cannot be done directly in PD. If the audio is on separate tracks, then go to the audio mixing room on the left side of the screen. It looks like three slider controls just above the microphone.

EDIT: Ah! Tony, You beat me this time.

Thanks. I had found the restore to default audio level right after I posted, but never found the balance. That is awesome. Thanks!

Hi Author tspnyc2013,

Looks like your question is answered. But just in case you’re unaware, and do have a zig zag of volume changes, and only want to remove a couple of the blue dots (instead of going back to default and starting over), here is a way you can eliminate selected dots.
Just grab a dot and whip it down, as shown here. . .

Thanks. It was the zig zag that got me in trouble, I had way too many dots, as I thought each one was the same one.

I will say, it would make more sense to me if you had to hold down Ctrl, or a similar key before adding a dot to the line.

The way it is, even if you go to click on a dot, if you miss by even a hair, you added another dot.
