YouTube Auto Upload Question
[Post New]
Is there any way to disable the auto upload in PowerDirector 10? When PD produces my movies for YouTube, it always asks me to log into my account and automatically uploads once the movie has been produced. I would rather just produce to my hard drive and upload later. Is there any way to configure PD like that?

You can produce your project to any format you wish, and later use the Youtube uploader, on Youtube, rather than use PD's uploader. Powerdirector only has WMV in the YT module, very limited choices. However, if you still want to use WMV, simply pick one of the many profiles under the WMV tab, not the Youtube tab. I think most of us avoid the built-in YT production module entirely, the only exceptions being Cyberlink contests where you MUST use the PD uploader because it also has the function to upload the timeline to Directorzone as required by contest rules. Hi, Crossfade6.
I'd like to reiterate what BarryTheCrab said above. After you are finished with all of your edits hit the produce button then you can choose whichever format you wish to render it to. Personally, I render everything to MP4 as it seems to give the best quality, not to mention you can easily send an MP4 to someone that is on a Mac and they won't have to convert it.
Happy New Year,
MULLY
P.S. Love the avatar. Scotty was always my favorite.
