Unlink multiple objects

So...I know how to unlink one clip - meaning unlink the audio from the video. But how do I unlink multiple clips at the same time? I have about 25 clips in a row and I need to unlink the audio from the video from each.

I would hate to think that I have to do it individually for each one...that would take forever!

Thoughts?

I am not aware of any other way than individually. I can see why it would be a pain with 25 clips. Sounds like a good idea in later versions to allow the editor to select multiple clips on the timeline and then allow "Unlink Audio and Video".

EDIT: Just a question. Why do you want to unlink the audio from the 25 clips? If you shared what you intend to do with the unlinked audio/video clips someone might be able to provide a reasonable work a round that doesn't require too much time that would work for you.

OK...so here's the situation. I have about 25 clips of which I want the audio track muted on about half of them...but not the other half. What I was doing was just deleting the audio track from them once I unlinked the audio from the video. I don't know how to mute just some of the clips but not all of them. I would have to manually turn down/off the volume on some of the clips one by one.

Not sure if any of this makes sense. I just thought it was easier to delete the audio completely from the clips that I wanted....but it would mean unlinking each clip manually.

I suggest that you put the clips you want to mute on one track and the clips you do not want muted on another track.
They do not have to be butted against each other.

You can mute a whole track in Powerdirector.

In PD9 and above, Click the eye on the audio section. (Disable)
In PD8, Right click > Mute Track.

Yup...makes sense! Not sure why I didn't think of that.

On that note...I'm trying to apply a PiP effect to more than one clip. But it only let's me do it one clip at a time.

Isn't there a way to apply it to multiple clips at once?

I think you are out of luck on multiple clips for applying PIP effects. That is one clip at a time.

You can apply transitions to multiple clips. There is several ways of doing that.
