I've got 1920x1080/50P source video from my Panasonic camera and did produce it to a 1920x1080/50P (28Mbps) .m2ts file.
But my PS3 won't play it??
TsMuxer to convert to PS3 won't work because the audio is corrupted.

I've tested also a blu-ray with menu on 1920x1080/24P (there is no profile for 50P) resolution but then the menu is not showing on the PS3. Black screen with only sound.
On my PC the blu-ray will ply with VLC...

PS3>Onkyo SR605>Benq W1000 projector.
All these instruments should handle and pass through 24p signals....

Thanks!

Will the video straight from the camera play in your PS3?

24P is one of the Blu-Ray standards.

Yes if I put the SD-card from the Panasonic directly in the PS3 it will play the 1920x1080/50P perfect and crystal clear......

Have you tried putting the edited and produced 1920x1080 edited M2TS video on the SD card.

Will PS3 then play it?

I am thinking you are not making the Blu-Ray disk correctly.

I tried that already with my extended hard disk.
The PS3 shows that it is incompatible data.

A MPEG-4 1920x1080/25p (13 Mbps) file will play on the PS3 but the picture not as good as the source file.

This is the VLC codec from the source file:

I find out that I can use custom mpeg-4 profile with 1920x1080/50p.
That''s the best option I think...

But the problem remains with a Blu-ray or AVCHD disk.
It won't play on the PS3.....

Thanks Jmone,

I've fixed my 1920x1080/50p .m2ts file with FIXPD9.
Then it will play on my PS3!

So this is the best way to have the best quality on my PS3?
For example a 1920x1080/50p Mpeg-4 output has less quality?

Still the blu-ray or AVCHD won't play on the PS3:
How to make the 1920x1080/50p AVCHD disk work on my PS3?
If I do this in powerdirector on a memory stick the PS3 won't play it...

Thank you very much!

Hi,
I think that the reason the P3 won't play from memory stick is that it doesn't recognize memory sticks as DVD videos. I have a PS3 andI wrtie all my creations to BD-re disks to sample before committing to Blu ray disk and all play well. I use the avchd H.264 codec and write to folder then use imgburn to transfer.

Have you tried burning a NTSC BluRay disk. The PS3 may need a 30 Frames per second BluRay disk instead of a 50P or 25P.

The best way to find out is to read the manual if available on the PS3 is see what the Playable formats are.

http://uk.playstation.com/ps3system/#select-tab-specifications
There are not enough details on the playable formats to know from the above.

It worked!

- powerdirector output: .m2ts 1920x1080/50p
- Fixed this file with FIXPD9
- Made a blu-ray disk with MultiAVCHD
- Burned it with imgburn...

Thanks!

Glad it works.... where there is a will there is a way!

The great news with PD11 is that it supports 50 ticks on the timeline so you can do frame accurate editing. All they now need to do is fix the B frame issue (acknowledged as a bug) and fix the muxing so it is more std and you don't need the FIXPD9. PD 64 Bit-Win10 64 Bit-32GB RAM-80TB HDD

Now my movie is finished with a total length of 2hours.
I did the same approach as above but now the blu ray is stuttering on sound if I play it on the PS3.
The same blu ray on my PC with VLC player has no problem with sound stuttering..

There is an option on the PS3 to turn off 24Hz but this didn't help to avoid the sound stuttering.

Please help!
Thanks...

There are some default settings in the PS3 that you can change that may help (worked for me). Here is a nice video on how to change them but please ignore some of the comments on AVC vs AVCHD as they are not spot on - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C98pn2c-LYc

Thanks Nathan but for blu-ray you can't set these settings.
I tried now the PS3 option in multiAVCHD and played the AVCHD directly from my harddisk on the PS3.
It seems that the stuttering is over....
