We need to be straight on language. I always think of Special Effects as the fancy stuff that alters the actual video, such as BLUR, MOSAIC, etc.
Directorzone "Effects" are images, sounds, menus, etc, that can be added to your timeline. They may overlay a video, but not alter it. The one new exception being the ColorDirector palette/recipes, that kinda fall in-between.
So, to sum it up, your DZone effects (after install)will be in a folder of whatever module they belong in...a title will be in the TITLE module, a DVD menu in the MENU module, etc.
Make sure if it's a 4:3 aspect effect, you are in 4:3, same for 16:9. You won't find your new widescreen title or particle in the 4:3 mode.
