Hello, and thank you for the free upgrade of my PhotoDirector 3.0.
But I have a problem to install this update, I have the following message:

Run time Error!
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unsual way.
Please contact the application'support team for more support information

You can help me and indicate me how remedying this problem.

Hello Dady -

Over in the PowerDirector forum, another user had a similar issue with the CL downloader... and was therefore unable to install the software.

The advice given to the user (which worked successfully) was as follows:

1. Download fresh copies of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Packages (assuming you're running a 64-bit system)

2008:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=2092
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5582
2010:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=14632
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8328

2. Uninstall EVERY Microsoft Visual C++ program & update through the control panel

3. Give you PC a registry clean with http://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER

4. Reinstall each of the Microsoft Visual C++ packages (above) beginning with the 2005 & through to 2010
