Anybody have suggestions on how I can convert lots of .aiff audio files to .mp3 and to .flac? I understand I can use .mp3 format audio in my Power Director .mp4 movies and I use .flac for music in my Sonos system. TIA. Bigbridge; Portland, OR

Hi

You may want to consider converting these to WAV as some MP3 files do not work properly in PD10 or 11.

Happy editing Happing editing

Yes Format Factory.... I have never had a problem with a mp3 file in PD but I have in my Christmas light show software. I convert all of those mp3 files needed to wav as the timing does not change during playback like an mp3 file can. __________________________________________

I know this is an old thread, but today--for the first time--I had an AIFF music file and needed PD12 to recognize it. I downloaded and installed Format Factory from their official website and converted it to both MP3 and WAV.

The MP3 file created was 1.88 MB and the WAV created was 20.7 MB. The original AIFF file was also 20.7. I used the WAV file since it better preserves the original file.

Thanks, Carl!

Yes, I prefer the WAV over MP3 anytime.
