Curious: Why does Director Suite install in the x86 Program Files?

I had upgraded to PD11U and it installed in my 64-bit Program Files folder. PD10 was in the 64-bit folder also.

I have since upgraded to the full Director Suite, and it has installed everything into the x86, Program Files folder. Isn't that the 32-bit version?

Seems sort of strange. ~Tom~

Because Cyberlink got the folder wrong for the 64 bit Powerdirector.
All of the other programs in the package are all 32 bit. So they put everything in the X86 folder.

It does not matter, Powerdirector still runs as a 64 bit program.
What determines a 64 bit program is the internal code. The folder it is installed in does not matter.

Kmot;
You can use the Windows Task Manager to tell if the application is running as a 64bit App. 32bit apps are marked *32 ...64Bit are not marked (see attached)
