Dear friends :

I can spend, but I don't want to waste. And I'm upgrading from PD9 Deluxe (non-ultra)
I make home videos and starting to make documentaries.

The difference between Ultra and Ultimate are the 22 NewBlue Effects, and the 3 creative design packs (gap $30). Worth it?

The difference between Ultimate and Ultimate Suite are ColorDirector and AudioDirector. (gap $119). Worth it? (Does the new Ultimate come with or without WaveEditor?. Is it like the same or a big gap with AudioDirector?)

Thanks Paul Malbec L.

Hi pmalbec -

I guess you've already checked out the comparison charts... referenced at the top of the forum http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/24644.page#133875

Your choice really comes down to your own needs. To me, ColorDirector & AudioDirector are powerful additions to PD11. Have you taken a look at the intro videos & tutorials? They might provide some guidance.

ColorDirector - http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/24637.page#133856
AudioDirector - http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/24635.page#133854
PhotoDirector - http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/24633.page#133850

WaveEditor is included, but there's a significant difference between it & AudioDirector.

Cheers - Tony

I did the upgrade to PD 11 Ultimate right now all I can say is I like it. It did install WaveEditor 2. Later on if I hear or see that the ColorDirector is a good tool I might add it. Intel i7 5960X overclock to 4 Ghz 16 GB of ram.

Yes, Michael, later. But later it is going to cost you $129 each. That is why I'm asking before the FINAL choice.

Thanks to both of you for your answers. Paul Malbec L.

yep I know I think it said I would say $60 if I got it when I was doing the upgrade. Oh well I'm retired on a fix income and I would like to see some videos on how it works. Intel i7 5960X overclock to 4 Ghz 16 GB of ram.

Ok, I'm getting a bit confused with some of the terminology Cyberlink uses to describe the products. Is "ColorDirector" the exact same software as ColorDirector Ultra"? And is "AudioDirector" the exact same software as AudioDirector Ultra"?

Hi Rob -

Yes - it is a bit confusing - Deluxe, Ultra, Ultimate, Ultimate Suite...

In the case of ColorDirector & AudioDirector, there is no confusion because there's only one version of the software. Yes - ColorDirector Ultra is the same as ColorDirector... & the same with AudioDirector.

Both ColorDirector (Ultra) and AudioDirector (Ultra) are included in the PowerDirector 11 Ultimate Suite

Well, Finally I purchased PD 11 Ultimate + Color Director
As per your helpfull reviews post, I couldn't resist to try ColorDirector, and purchased the bundle, saving like $69 (not including AudioDirector).

Tell you later what about my decision. Hope not to made a bad one.

Thanks,
