A certain number of music tracks come bundled with PowerDirector 9 which are fine. How can I add my own tracks say from a CD or from itunes to the Powerdirector timeline as I am starting to get bored with the same songs on my DVDs. Thanks.

Powerdirector 9 has up to 100 audio and video tracks, you can put audio only in any of them.

Use the track manager to add more tracks to the timeline.

You will have to extract the audio from the music CD to use in Powerdirector. Powerdirector can not use the music directly from CDs, you must rip to audio files. WAV or WMA or MP3. Prefer WAV.

Just to add to Carl's advice...

Music & other audio clips are imported into PD just the same as video & images. You can use any music you wish, as long as it's in a compatible format.

If your music (e.g. from your CDs) is already in iTunes, then it's already been encoded. All you need to do is:

1. Open iTunes & select the music you want to use.
2. Right click > Get Info to check file type
3. Drag the track to the desktop or to your project folder - that makes a copy of the track.
4. Import it to PD from there

Cheers - Tony
