I came across a problem with some custom fonts i installed. They show up in PD but once i save the template it just reverts back to the default font

Any ideas why this might be happening? I checked my windows font folder and the font i'm trying to use is a otf file.

Thank you!

It is one of Powerdirector's quirks.

For some reason Powerdirector does not retain the custom font in the template.

Ok that's strange. I don't get how they haven't fixed such a simple problem.

Hi

Welcome to the volunteer forum.

Further to what Carl has said there are some fonts (for whatever reason) that do not keep there Custom properties.

However, most of mine do - I use the ttf format - not sure if that makes any difference

Here's a screenshot of my Customised Saved 'Walt Disney' font in my PD Title Room that keeps the Walt Disney properties:

Here's a link to dafont where I get most of my fonts from:

I was playing around with my PD 10 today. How do add a custom font to a title:

Go to "Title"
Click on "Add Custom Title" in bar above the listed text templates.
Create your custom title template using the downloaded font.
Add title to movie/project.
Click on title once in title bar in your timeline.
Right-click "Edit title"
Go to "font"
Replace the default font with your downloaded font.
Click save at bottom of editor.

That should work! Worked for me with all my downloaded fonts!
