URGENT: New install. Can't import files properly. "Media Source Error"

Please see the error below.
When I import clips, I can play them in the Library but when I try to put them into the timeline it tells me that they are NTSC (even though they are PAL) ==see message below==. Then it gives me the following message about not being able to decode them and doesn't play ==see message below==.

The footage was shot using a Cannon 60D and is in .MOV format.

I have had a look at a couple of the forums and they suggest downloading codecs. I have downloaded and installed klite codec package. No help. Restarted multiple times. No help.

Any assistance/ advice as to the cause of these errors would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Laurence1112,
Please go to: http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/7958.page
Please provide A, B
Please provide a 5 second sample from your camera. Point, shoot 5 seconds, attach the file to your reply please.

The error message is likely to be caused by a lack of a codec.

Have you downloaded and installed the latest QuickTime? Please make sure you uninstall QT and then install the latest version.

The sample file will give members something to test out.

Thanks
Dafydd

Hi,

I have the same problem with Panasonic Lumix FZ150 videos in MP4 640x480 format. PD can process videos from the same camera in MP4 1280x720 format without that "Media Source Error" message. Both video files and dxdiag-statistics are attached.

K-Lite Codec Pack (full x32 version + x64 version)
QuickTime 7.7.2.
PowerdDirector 10.0.0.1703 (Trial)

This bug is a show-stopper for me to buy PowerDirector. Any help is appreciated (before the last 10 days of the Trial-period are over).
