Confused about update notifications

I was just able to update to the latest patch (1703 I think was the number) by accessing it on the support webpage.

The trouble is that prior to doing that, when I went into PD10 itself and clicked in the upper right area of the screen on ? --> About Cyberlink PD --> Upgrade, the boxes that displayed for Upgrade, Update, and Installed Packs were empty. Even after I had downloaded and installed the latest patch, the boxes were still empty.

This has left me confused as to what the purpose is of those boxes.

Since they were blank when I accessed them prior to the update, if the boxes are supposed to show when new content is available, and if I had been relying on that source of info alone, I would not have known that any updates were available.
On the other hand, if the purpose of the boxes is to show what updates I've already made since the original installation, the fact that the boxes are still empty after the installation of this new patch would seem to indicate that there is a glitch of some sort.

So what exactly is the intended function of those boxes?

Don't worry LaPoule -

My PD10 boxes are devoid of information too. Everything's up-to-date & installed correctly. There's nothing listed under "Installed Packs", even though they are installed properly (including purchased ones.

I'm afraid I can't answer your question, "So what exactly is the intended function of those boxes?" I can only guess that it was intended that those boxes would contain information.

The only "information" I have is kindly letting me know that PhotoDirector3 is available! PD9 is much the same except that it houses an ad for PD10 (50% off).

Cheers - Tony
