Hardware Acceleration - differencies PD10 vs PD9
[Post New]
Can somebody tell my why there is no Quick Sync checkbox in PD10 ????
In attached picture from PD9 preferences it is present
Is that means PD10 not support this technology ?

CL support is not able to answer to my question

They probably need to replace or upgrade the video card driver
Note: If ATI is to uninstall and install

PD10 does support Intel QS.

Not knowing your system makes this a guess :
On my i5 laptop I can choose which graphics (internal intel QS or 1Gb NVidia 520M) to use when I launch PD. PD then displays the correct options for that GPU. Typically, if the options are greyed out, then I suspect then that somewhere along the line HA has been disabled or not installed (ATI used to have to have the avivo package but I'm not sure that still applies with the current drivers).

Cheers
Adrian

Could you send a screenshot from PD10 to show me an info that it uses Quick Sync ?

Thank you for pictures.
Because I've got situation like from third picture I should think, that my Intel Graphic Card is inaccesible, but in GPU-Z I can see it !!!
You said that you can choose which card would be used in PD ?
Where is the moment you can do this ?

Right click on PD icon, pop up should give the option "Run with graphics processor.." > choose from selection.
You may also be able to change the default GPU for individual applications but I suspect that depends on your system specs. Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated. (see below)

OK, I'll try your suggestion (today night after both EURO2012 matches).
I wonder why this is not mentioned in manual.
I am surprised again, why in PD9 it is done in quite different way ?

Anyway it is strange that CL cannot answer to my so simple question ?

my system is Win7 64bit Proffessional

bankroot I think it could be the chip set of the motherboard. I think they had the H67 and the P67 chip set. H67 – Onboard graphics are enabled, while overclocking is disabled
P67 – You need a graphics card for this chipset – onboard graphics is disabled, however overclocking is enabled here. To use the Intel Quick Sync the onboard garphics had to be enable. Then when they came out with the z68 chip set came out you get best of both worlds. Onboard graphics are enabled, as is overclocking. . Plus most of the new motherboard with the z68 chip set let you have onboard and a graphics card and swith between the two.
So you might want to see what chip set your motherboard has.

Michael8511:

I've got Z68 chip. As I mentioned earlier I used Quick Sync in PD9 without any problems

vn800rider:

I have not got this option and do not know why .
I have no idea
Maybe virtu application (responsible for switching between Intel Card and my external Nvidia GPU) does not "talk" with PD, I have to check it
