TRANSITIONS and Slideshows

I'm trying to get all my photos organized and into a slideshow that would make sense.

Right now working on mom and dads 50th anniversary movie. I had made this boxes sort of like window boxes that looked like a flower garden for each table. Each flower's center had a photo pertaining to their 50 years together. There are around 150 photos that I used for these flower gardens.

I want to make a movie that starts with the film from the actual party but ends with a slideshow of the photos I used in the flower garden table decorations.

I started out using the slideshow part of PD6 but found it to be a bit boring after a while so I then tried with the transitions from PD6 and loved it. It seems a bit time consuming though so thought maybe there was an easier way.

I am currently dragging the photo to the time line, selecting a 9 sec duration and then adding a transition. I've gotten through about half of them when I decided to post this to see if there is an easier way to do this.

Like is there a batch process that would put the same transition between say maybe 10 to 20 photos? I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium and PowerDirector 6.

Thank you for your help in this matter.

Geneva,

Slideshow option

1. Drag all your still images into the time-line
2. Highlight them
3. Select Slideshow
4. create
5. Produce: select Mpeg2/DVD HQ

The aim is to create the slideshow and bring it back into your video later.

Please read the following post as well.

Here's are examples of slideshow video mixing - one is not brilliant, done as a "play" project some time ago.

This one suffered in compression.

Thank you for the PM's - I like points raised and answered on the forum where possible as it helps others.

select all/slideshow option still applies.

1. Click and drag all the images into the time-line
2. Right click on one of them and choose "Select All" in the pop up
3. Select Slideshow
4. select "Normal"

You will get the same effect in seconds as you have been trying to achieve.

The only problem is the order of the images - you have to numerically name/list these. I suggest you start with 001 as your first number and always have a 0 until you go past 100.

I'm so sorry ... I will use this forum from now on. I just wasn't sure you were understanding what I wanted. I THANK YOU for all your help and for taking the time to view my post on SeeMyWorld to better understand what I was trying to achieve and also thank you for all the help you gave me in uploading the video to SeeMyWorld.

I agree about posting here because I read all the posts everyday to see what all I might be missing.

I just can't THANK YOU ENOUGH...You are not only BRILLIANT but so awesomely INCREDIBLE. I realize it takes alot of your time and don't want to seem pesky. If I keep working and learning maybe someday I can help you answer some of these posts.

I'm just a mom wanting to archive and document all the special moments in life.
