Missing Magic Music

I have spent hours trying to figure out why I do not have any free sounds ... err ... music. I purchased PowerDirector 10 Ultra and I've added the most current patches as well as Content Pack I and II and the MagicStyle stuff. Searching here I found that I should have music files located in C:\ProgramData\SmartSound Software Inc\Sound Files. Well, there isn't anything in that folder. I'm at my wits end as I've spent over 10 hours creating a personal video and wanted to add some music to various pieces just to find out that for some odd reason, no free music.

Your help will be mucho appreciated to get this corrected!!

1975transam: I had the same issue, exactly. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING worked. That is, until I bought a new PC that had Windows 7 operating system. The Magic Music, and Quiktracks, and all that jazz, magically became enabled.

My prior PC had Windows XP.

Well, the operating system shouldn't matter, I'm running Vista ultimate. ----------

It is more likely that when you installed The PD10 Trial, you did not answer 'Yes' to the question "Do you want to install Smart Sound"

I seriously doubt I did that but anything is possible. I suppose I can uninstall and re-install and see if that does it. ----------

You also should check that you have the latest Quicktime (7.7.2).

Right. But it did. I installed, I toggled yes, I rebuilt libraries, I contacted SmartSound support, I uniinstalled/reinstalled several times, blah blah blah.

The only thing SmartSound tech support could do for me was offer the old music tracks from PD8. Which I already had.

Not until I got Windows 7 did the 'new' included with PD10 music tracks enable.

YMMV. ~Tom~
