I have created an AVCHD folder using PD10 Ultra. Can I burn an AVCHD disc using ImgBurn? I can't find guides for doing this.

Hi,
there is a Write from folders option that is the one you use...then navigate to the folder you created...and select the drive you using to burn to and the format ie BD or standard DVd.

Why did n't you just use Power Director to make and burn those files to make an AVCHD disc?

I did just a day or so ago. .

I did use Power Director to burn a disc and to make a folder. Now I want to make more AVCHD discs using the folder. I have used IngBurn for this purpose on DVD and Blu ray discs, but couldn' find a way to do it from the folder using Power Director.

I'm flummoxed !

I did a lot of searching and could not find anything except - From Q&A - You can burn folders using Cyberlink DVD Copy. That is a separate pay for program. I would image the same is true for an ISO file.

A lot of people (including me) make ISO files or folder sets so they can easily make multiple copies for different family members. I would hope that Cyberlink would have recognized that and included that functionality in Power DVD.

I hope that I'm missing something and that someone more knowledgeable would step in here. It is strange that none of the frequesnt posters have replied to this post about that functionality in Power Director 10. .

Image burn is a 3rd party utility and involve royalty costs.
To keep the costs down PD has not opted for it PC specs :
OS Windows 10.0 Pro
MB - AS rock Z77 extreme 11
Intel 3770K @ 4.0 Ghz OC
Gskill 32 GB RAM 1800 Mhz
6 TB HDD, SSD bootable
nVidia ASUS GTX 660 Ti

Too bad, I have other video editing programs (around the same cost) and the functionality is included.

Are you guessing about costs or did you get that from Cyberlink? .

It was a logical deduction. Each company have their own policies on 3rd party software PC specs :

Please understand.

I am NOT saying to include the product ImgBurn in the Cyberlink program. Neither of the other programs that I have include ImgBurn. The other programs have the functionality of being able to burn the folders that they create. [b] .

Using your guidance I can now burn an AVCHD disc using ImgBurn. I followed the guide from ImgBurn "How to write a Blu-ray Video disc using ImgBurn" and simply inserted a DVD disc instead of a Blu-ray disc.
Many thanks,
