Hi Joe -

Yes - SmartSound comes with PD10. Were you prompted to install it? Did you click Yes?

If it's installed, there should be a number of tracks in bold type (they're the ones that come with the installation).

Go to C:\ProgramData\SmartSound Software Inc & see what's in the Sound Files folder & the Libraries folder.

Hi Tony,
I still can't get the Smartsound songs to transition to the timeline. There are no bold songs even showing. I've tried to update the library and it appears to have files, but when I try to move a selection to the timeline. Since Smartsound is supposed to be a part of PD10, I'm really confused, especially since I reinstalled the program and selected Smartsound to be installed.

SmartSound can only be put in the Voice Track or The Music Track. SmartSound will not go into the timeline in any other track.

And it must be one of the bold songs. Unless you purchase the song.

Problem has been solved. I contacted Smartsound Tech Support. It seems that I did not get the free Smartsound music with my PD10. Not sure why. Anyway, the tech had me download the free files - CoreFoundations and added them to the Smartsound song selections - the BOLD ones... Now back in business. Thanks to all for their inputs. The Forum is great, and the members even better.

I've used Smartsound with PD8. My problem was gaining access to the "free" sounds provided with PD10. A minor glitch, but it's now working as it should.
