PDv10 error: the current permission settings do not allow you to select this location

When I attempt to 'produce' my current project, I get the error message : "The current permission settings do not allow you to select this location. Select a different location and try again."

What can I do to overcome this obstacle? (I am using PowerDirector 10 Ultra 10.0.0.1424c on a PC running Windows 7 Pro.)

Thanks, Joseph

Joseph -

In the Produce module, what do you have set for the Output Folder?

I've never seen that alert previously.

Cheers - Tony

Thank you, Tony.

Opening the project again to check the destination as you suggested, I also attempted to start 'production' again - and lo and behold it now works without the error.

Hi tandlj,
Appear to me you were prevented from storing data to a restricted location (Program Files is my guess).

Go to Preferences > File > Export and change the default location of where you Produce files to.

Dafydd

On my PD13 ultra I get this warning when I open it and click on the preference tab (right last icon on the top list). When I click OK on the warning then the peference window open regularly.
