Hi Craig,

I'm not sure about what the exactly problem you have. Do you mean that you want to "install" the software into Vista? You may need to provide me more information. If you got a error message, that is important!

Hi Craig
I think you may have a problem using the PD Express NE supplied with the camera I think it is only suitable for XP or earlier.
I liked the software so I bought PD6 which is supposed to work in Vista but some people have had problems. John

Hi Craig ..just got my Laptop upgraded from XP pro to Vista Ultimate.. ended up doing a complete re-install to resolve so many incompatibility issues.. at any rate, successfully installed all SWs that came with the JVC GZ-HD7U.

So far all works except the PD Express 5.0. This hangs on file conversion (from the JVC .tod files, once transfered to the PC) progress monitor window. Goes up to 100% then just won't go any further.. now, I'm still looking around for solution to this problem.

Good luck with yours.

The PowerDirector NE bundle with JVC HD 7 is a Vista compatible product. Because the TOD file is a high definition video clip. So the file will be cover into mpeg2 when you import the TOD file. It will need some time for coverting the file.

When the process goes to 100%, it doesn't mean that PowerDirector will finish the task immdiately. So I will suggest you please give your PC more time to do it's job.

You may try to import shortly video clip (3-10 minutes) see what it happen.

Craig,

I want you to try out the following.

Go to:
1. C : Program Files/CyberLink/PowerDirector Express
2. Locate the dll file = evoparser.dll
3. rename the file evoparserxxx.dll

Close the directory

Now open PowerDirector 5 Express which came with JVC

The suggestion given here should NOT harm your PC and should assist in the opening of PowerDirector 5 Express.

What are the results please?

Dafydd
