Magic Motion - Can you draw straight motion path between key frames?

Is there a way to draw straight motion lines (paths) between key frames in the Magic Motion Designer - similar to what you can do in the PiP editor? I would like to pan/zoom to different points on an image, but when you add key frames and then move them around MM uses bezier curves. I would like to use straight paths between the key frames.

I have the same problem with "video crop" which, according to the help file, uses the MM designer. The problem is, when you try to crop to and follow the subject, it decides on it's own run the the frame way beyond the subject when the subject changes direction. It looks stupid and there is no obvious simple work around.
