Hello, I would like to participate in the contest Predefined Photodirector, but I have a problem to transfer my presets, I follow all the steps, everything is OK until step 3 - transfer progress, where nothing ever goes 0 % transfer, I am obliged to stop the process.

Also, if my preset is created, it does not apply to my photos unless I make a copy and paste is OK.
Can you explain to me what I am doing wrong .

I photodirector 2011, I tested Photodirector 3 but I hesitate to buy if I have the same problem for saving presets.

A thousand apologies for my bad english, thank you in advance for your help

Hello Dady,

Have you watched this tutorial about
• How to Download & Upload Presets through DirectorZone - http://youtu.be/qZJuuo6J-n0

You are talking about sharing your created prestes on DirctorZone - yes? Because Rule #3 is "All entrants must have a member account to DirectorZone for the preset link upload."

I have uploaded a number of presets without any issues. I'm not doubting you for a moment. Could you please describe exactly what is happening?

Pix thank you for your help.
I have no problem to download presets from Area Director, in fact I just downloaded one of your own, thank you.

My problem is that:

1 - I create my presets if I copy and paste it on another picture, this is good, but if I record I found in my many predefined set but it seems empty, nothing happens if I want apply it on a photo

2 - if I want to share to Director Zone hopefully until the last stage where the transfer is not done.

You say there must be a member. Is not the fact to connect to photodirector with a userid and pW enough? if not how to become member.

Thank you in advance for your help

Dady,

Thank you for your kind comment.

Yes, if you are signed in to DirectorZone that's sufficient. If you go to the DirectorZone site, you'll see (at the top of the page) whether you are signed in or not. To join, click Sign Up.

It sounds like you're following the correct steps...

1. Sign in to DirectorZone

2. Create Virtual Photo (not necessary, just part of my usual workflow)

3. Click Create after settings are complete

4. Click Share

5. Add details & description

6. Check confirmation

7. Upload to DZ

So - in your case, you go through all the steps but the final upload fails - yes?

Is the preset saved correctly in your created presets folder?

Pix thank you for trying to help me.

Yes in my case I'm going through all the steps except the last download

I 0% and nothing happens.

My preset is registered in my presets created but it seems empty, if I apply it on a photo.

Strange if I make a copy of the preset that I just created before saving, it's good with a stick on any photo.

I just tried again with your Step 2 - Create Virtual Photo, you never know, but it is not always the same problem.

It seems I'm the only one in this case, until now I had never tried to save the presets I did, well it's not serious, but I could not share my presets.

Hello again Dady,

You say your created preset seems "empty". Do you mean it seems to have no effect on the photo?

Could you please go to C:\Users\(YourUserName)\AppData\Local\Cyberlink\PhotoDirector\Adjustment presets\My Created Presets and choose one of your created presets.

In your next reply, add it as an attachment. In theory (I've never tried this) if I download it and double click, it should install in my PhD. I would like to see how it behaves here.

I'll attach one here just to test it.

I understand that this is only part of the problem. The other part is why it fails to upload to DZ.

Pix I'm back

1 - I downloaded your preset without problem, if I apply it on my image, it becomes all blue

2 - I created a preset that I found by following your instructions in my C drive, here is the link to retrieve it

3 - An overview of what gives my preset on my photo

Do not break your head, but I am curious to know if my preset work with you Dady

That's quite odd!

Thank you for uploading the sample preset. I downloaded your Test Preset, unzipped the RAR file & installed the preset, but it does NOT appear in the PhD Adjustments panel!

It is present in the folder C:\Users\(YourUserName)\AppData\Local\Cyberlink\PhotoDirector\Adjustment presets\My Downloaded Presets - but is not available in PhD 2011 or PhD 3

Either (a) there's something missing because it's been compressed or (b) there's something unusual about how your PhD is generating presets.

Do you have the latest patch installed? http://www.cyberlink.com/downloads/support/photodirector/patches_en_GB.html

Could I suggest a complete uninstall & reinstall of PhotoDirector? This will help narrow the issue.

1. Use Revo Uninstaller (free) http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html to uninstall & clear PhD's registry
2. Restart your PC
3. Reinstall PhotoDirector from your installer files

Your created & downloaded presets and your project files will not be lost in this process.

Dady, if you purchased PhD 2011 you're eligible for a free copy of PhD 3. http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/22072.page#118566

Pix I had been lucky to win PhotoDirector to have tested it also I am not entitled to the free update, what is normal.

I finally spread the choice of the reinstallation of the software and I have just decided to buy PhotoDirector 3.

I just install it, I created a preset and everything is OK

It remains for me to enjoy myself to create presets and share them.

Again thank you for your help and advice. Dady
