Perfect preview, DVD missing audio and video

I have the PowerDirector 10 Ultra version.

I created and edited a 30 minute+ long project with still pictures, videos, music, transitions etc.

The problem I have is that even though the project plays perfectly during the preview portion of the "create disc" phase, when the project is burned to DVD it is missing random video, pictures and/or music.

I have been back and forth with emailing support and thus far I have updated my video card driver, tried burning a produced version of the project and still have the same problem.

PLEASE HELP!

PS. If you need technical information from my computer to help me you will need to provide specific step-by-step directions

Hi Silverbus -

When you "tried burning a produced version of the project"... did you...
1. Produce the project to MPEG-2 DVD HQ
2. Open a new project and import/insert the produced MPEG-2 file
3. Go to Create Disc & burn the DVD

... or were there some different steps you took?

Have you been advised to...
(a) try burning at a slower speed?
(b) try creating a folder (in Create Disc) & burning the disc with other software?
(c) try using a different brand of disc?

Sorry - all those suggestions are just canned answers, like the one about updating your GPU driver, but they've been known to help.

Tony, thanks so much for the response!

It was suggested that I try what you described "produce the file" Which I tried. It played perfectly in preview but also didn't burn correctly.

Could you please describe in greater detail this;

I have gotten as far as producing the file to MPEG-2 DVD HQ then I have saved the file (with a new name) and then click create disc and burn it.
I might be missing a step or two?
