Working with files converted from old VCR tapes

Can someone tell me if there is a way to reduce the size of the final movie. I am playing my completed PowerDirector DVD movies (originally from old VCR home movies) on the Television. I seems to me that the image might appear better if it used up less of the TV screen due to the original lower resolution. Is there a format (or a technique) that will allow the final movie to be displayed in a smaller area giving the illusion of better resolution.
Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark W,

1. Place a still image in the Video Time-line
2. Place the old video into the PiP time-line

VCR video will not be hi res and blurred and pixelation will be obvious. I can understand why you're asking how.

I thought this would be just what I was wanting too, but you get no sound from a video file in the PiP timeline.

Hi Dave Grace,

As you only have Power Director 4 and PD5 Express, the audio in PiP is not available, you should consider upgrading to PD6 and take advantage of all its new features, including audio in PiP
