Good Evening

I have recently being allowed to upload longer than 15 minutes with YouTube but PowerDirector 10 doesn't allow me to. Is there a way around this? maybe some update I need or what? Can someone help please.

There are 2 values in the registry that relate to YouTube.

===========================================================
I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU CHOOSE TO ALTER THEM - I HAVE TRIED IT AND BY INCREASING THE SIZE AND TIME LIMITS, I CAN NOW UPLOAD VIDEOS GREATER THAN 15 MINUTES
===========================================================

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cyberlink\PowerDirector\10.0

Key Name

YouTubeSizeLimit >REG_DWORD decimal value 2048
YouTubeTimeLimit >REG_DWORD decimal value 15
Play with them at your own risk!!!

I prefer to just use PowerDirector 10 to create and upload, it's soo much easier.

Thanks for this. What would change:
YouTubeSizeLimit >REG_DWORD decimal value 2048 to?

Try 3000 for the size limit and 30 for the time limit. That should get you up to a 30 minute load.
You can go higher if you want.

Let us know how it works.

Harky -

You'll see in the screenshot that I made mine 8192, which is roughly 8GB.

Someone more in tune with the mathematics of gigabytes/megabytes & decimal/hexidecimal values might be able to provide a more accurate answer.

I wasn't too concerned, since it's an upper limit & I'm very unlikely to ever upload a video of that size to YouTube!

Adrian (vn800rider) did run a test uploading a very long video some time back. In itself, that's a useless comment because I can't remember whether it worked. Nor have I been able to find his post(s) on the subject.

Cheers - Tony
