How do you create new transitions?

G'day wilzer -

The short answer is - you can't!

The long answer is - you can create the "illusion" of a different transition by using combinations of effects, PiP objects, particles etc... but they're not transitions in the PD sense of the word (i.e. template able to be inserted between two clips).

As an example, if you had a 1 second fade transition between two clips & inserted a particle effect in the track below, it would "look like" a new/different transition.



The produced file is attached.

I guess it's limited only by your imagination...

I use the smoke particle quite a bit........with no other additions.

And people wonder why we hate looking at big videos in here... look at my normal speed when I downloaded Tony's 3 meg video... Cyberlink must be using dial up for these forums.... it has always been this slow for me and I have 8 meg service...
