Microsoft Visual C++ Error

I'm kind of stumped on this one and need someone to help me explain what this is. I recorded my daughter's soccer game on a Panasonic DVD recorder (using a DVD-RAM disc) from a local TV station that films occasional local games. I didn't do any "finalizing" on it because I didn't think I had to. Put it in my computer and it plays fine on my DVD player.

I want to pull it into PD 6 and do a little editing and re-burn it onto a DVD-R. I have copied the file over to my hard drive - it is named VR_MOVIE.VRO and is 3.4GB in size (about 2 hours in length)

I don't know what kind of file a .vro is, but PD6 seems able to read it up to a certain point and then I get the message from Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library that says, "This application requested runtime to terminate in an unusual way" and PD closes. I've tried this several times and each time it does the same thing.

Am I not preparing the file to bring into PD? Is the file too large? If it is, I don't know how to split it up. Do I need to update something with this runtime library?

HELP!

Hi,
I've been getting the same error whenever I click the capture button in PD6. This has been happening since I applied the patch provided on the web site. I can make it stop by disabling the MS plug and play service, but then nothing else woks properly. I contacted Cyberlink support and am awaiting a reply.

Hi Cindy and Paul,

I'm chasing up information on issues with VRO files. When I know more I'll post. I just thought I'd let you know I am aware of your posting etc.
