PD10 trial - clips not playing properly after produce

I've just installed the PD10 Trial (first time PD user) and I'm having trouble with video clips imported from my camera.

After importing (from hard drive, not direct from camera), the thumbnails display correctly in the library, and playing the clip in preview the video displays correctly.

After I "produce" the video, on play back it blanks out and displays as a flat colour. The first few seconds seem to play correctly (including the watermark). The colour changes as the video progresses (it seems to be showing the "average" colour of the frame). The audio continues unimpeded. I've tried most of the output options available. I've tried producing with and without the preview (the preview goes blank as well while in production, hence I turned it off to see if that was causing a problem). I've tried producing without making any changes to the video, as well as applying fix/enhance.

The sample video (with the clouds) did the same thing after producing.

The original videos all play perfectly in Windows Media Player.

Has anyone seen anything like this before?

PC specs:
Win7 64
Core2 duo T7300 2.0Ghz
4GB ram
NVidia GeForce Go 7950 GTX

Camera:
Panasonic GH2
1080i60 avchd

Welcome to the forum,
Please can you provide a sample from your video camera, 5 seconds long? Just point, shoot and give us the sample please.

The trial does have production limitations etc so you may be encountering some of those. Members will be able to assist you further after you've provided the additional information.

I too am new to Cyberlink and PowerDirector in particular. I have installed the trial version also and have imported a couple of .mts files to test the HD output quality and when I try and produce an H.264 file, it won't allow it as it is prompting me for hardware video encoder to be set however, it is greyed out! I have an Apple iMac with a windows 7 partition. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

N.B. ● H.264 encode only on Windows 7 OS or specifc hardware

* Restrictions of H.264 video in PowerDirector Trial version:
H.264 video import or output in the trial version is limited to PCs with hardware acceleration.

To import H.264 (MTS, M2TS, MOV, MP4) video, a graphics card that supports H.264 decoding is required.
To output H.264 (AVC H.264, MPEG-4) video, a graphics card that supports H.264 encoding is required.
You can output non-HD progressive H.264 (AVC H.264, MPEG-4) video using the Windows 7 built-in H.264 encoder if the graphics card does not support H.264 encoding.

If you are not able to output H.264 video, please contact your graphics card vendor and check if the card supports H.264 hardware encoding.

Note: the full versions of CyberLink PowerDirector Ultra and Deluxe include software decoders/encoders for H.264 video files.
