The new windows certified 12-2 ATI drivers are now out. it is suggested that all ATI card owners running older drivers, upgrade to this version. Be sure to un-install ALL ATI software, before upgrading. Use the express un-install. Restart then install new 12-2.

Note: AMD Media Codec (Avivo) is now a seperate download. Be sure to get the 12-2 version of that also. Hardware decoding in any NLE won't work without it.

Its best that the 12-2 chipset drivers should also be updated, if you have a AMD motherboard.

Good luck.

And to those that are wondering: the Avivo accelerator app is included (although it is the same rev level as before). Things are working OK with this release. Win 10, i7

For some reason, there have been reports that it was not included with some downloads. Some also don't mention it as being part of the package. If you got it, your good to go. Self Built PC - W7 Pro 64 bit w/ SP1

I never seem to have a problem if I do not uninstall the old drivers first.... guess I have been lucky on all my machines... for the last 30 years....

Oh.. by the way... they fixed the HW encoding issue with 12.1 I can select it again...
