When I move items from the library (which were imported from a media folder) to the timeline, the preview sscreen turns green.
How do I correct this?

I am using a new Dell Laptop with the following specifications:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit with 8 GB of RAM
Intel i7-2630QM processor
NVIDIA GeForce GT 550M 1GB graphics
750GB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Drive
PowerDirector 10 ultra with build 0925of

Update your Video card Driver. Check the Manufacturer's web site for the latest driver.

You might update your Powerdirector, the latest build is 1129b.

The same hard drive and partitian contains both the video files and PD10.
I resolved the green screen problem by trurning off "Enable hardware decoding" in the Hardware Acceleration of Preferences. I hope this does not adversely affect the use of the program.
Thanks for your help. I will consider your suggestions if the problem returns.

No. By de-selecting the feature you'll actually get better video quality on your projects. Because your PC has plenty of punch you'll notice very little difference in rendering times. Win 10, i7
