I'm new to Photodirector and loving it so far.

The question i want to ask is:

After adding the photo's i want to work with to my Project in Photodirector, i want to crop them all to the same aspect ratio (7x5). At the moment the only way i can figure out how to do this is to click on each photo in turn, then click on the crop button, and then manually change the 'Aspect' drop down box from 'original' to '7 x 5' for each picture. Every picture i click on in my project has a default crop aspect of 'original' and so i have to manually change each one each time to '7 x 5'. I'm thinking surely there's a way to apply my chosen crop ratio to every photo in the project in just one go?

I know there's a 'copy adjustment settings for other photos' button at the bottom but it doesn't seem to include the crop tool's setting.

Any help would be great, thanks.

Hello djboshh,

Yes, I have to agree. That is something of a shortcoming - not to be able to lock the selected aspect ratio for cropping... and also not to be able to copy/paste that setting to other images in the same way that other adjustments can be applied.

There are other tools available (third party software) that allow this, even some free ones, if you have a large number of images to crop in a particular AR.

Hopefully you will send this information/request as a bug or shortcoming and perhaps it could be included in the next version.

No request(s) = no change(s).
