Hello all!

Im having an issue when i put my own audio over the video audio.

The audio does a really high pitched screech, then just doesnt play.

It seems to be random, because if i just reinsert the audio it will sometimes play correctly, but its extremely annoying producing the video, then having it screech at me.

1. Do you mute or totally remove the audio track from the video ?
2. Onto which audio track do you place your own audio ?
3. Are the audio formats identical or different ? Win 10, i7

I mute the video track, and put the audio i made on track 2.

The track that is on the video is recorded from a component input from and HD PVR that is recording it and then converting it to 5.1

I am using an mp3 format for the audio i create.

I should note i never had an issue with PD9, but this is killing me in PD10

I frequently do the same process using a HD PVR. I suggest you try splitting the video and audio tracks (new in PD10), deleting (and saving if required) the audio track and then inserting your audio. I have seen what you've run into but have not been able to duplicate it. Win 10, i7

Hi

MP3 files and PD10 has been well documented on the forum.

Only last week I was having problems with them. Not all MP3's, just some

See link below. Note Ynotfish has a link to a solution he found - didn't work for me though

http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/21553.page

My solution was to convert my troublesome MP3 files to WAV using Audacity (Google it. It's free and an awesome bit of audio software that every editor should have in their 'toolbox').

Happy editing

Happing editing

Audio issue on second page of menu. Garbled music when reviewing edited video on page 2 of menu. I even installed PD10 on another very different machine and got exactly the same issue. Technical assistance want nearly my family history with the amount of data I am supposed to collect to let them "solve" it. And if previous issues are anything to go on, this will continue until either I give up or they do - the problem will not be solved. However on the off chance that someone knows how to fix this - could you please share your wisdom and success.

Philip & Christina,

I can confirm your garbled audio on second (and subsequent) menu pages. I have been able to work around it by simply closing PD and then starting it again. The reason is that PD10 sometimes loses track of which audio track it is using and if you listen closely it is actually trying to play back 2 audio tracks simultaneously.

Are you using a custom audio track of your own in the "Create Disc Window / Background Music" ?

i am having a similar problem. I am only using vid/audio track 1, and the audio plays fine in the library, but in the timeline, the audio doesn't play. All my other clips are fine (and this one was too..I don't know what I did to make it not work)

David,

Please see the following thread :

You may also have inadvertently unchecked the track selector box on the left of the timeline whic would omit the track from being used in rendering it.

Thanks for the reply. It was not any of those things. I am not exactly sure what happened, but the audio got out of sync on a previous clip. When I shifted the audio track back to be in sync...the audio from the next clip magically worked again.
