I think these files are some kind of 'disaster' file that get created when there is a major outage or some kind of specific problem. But as you say, maybe they are just created when you go to burn but don't want to save the detail afterwards.
I have dumped them into my pc Wastebin but will leave them there for a while ... just in case.
If there is a tech savvy out there it would be nice to know 'what is'.

Part of a WinAce archive split up into two or more files; initial file created during the file-splitting process; saved with other parts, with .C01, .C02 extensions, etc.
... which don't mean a whole lot to me ... except that I originally compiled 3 videos onto my Timeline and I had three of these '.C' files.
