I recently upgraded my PD9 to the lastest build 3550 and now it no longer recognizes any MPEG4s. Can anybody let me know what I need to do to get it to work? I have attached my DxDiag file for anyone's reference if that is of any help!!

This program worked fine before I upgraded my OS to Windows 7 and now I have had nothing but problems with it...I just need to get it to run the way it used to...

Thanks to anyone who can help me!!!

Hi there -

For a start, I would:

1. Update GPU driver http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-winvista-64bit-285.62-whql-driver.html
2. Download & install QuickTime http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
3. Download & install FFDShow http://www.free-codecs.com/download/ffdshow.htm

Obviously, when you've installed the new OS the missing link went missing!

Cheers - Tont

Ok I was able to download the FFDshow and install it..and it also did not make a difference..Not sure what to try now...

Ideas anyone..please..this is getting rather frustrating as I can't do what I was able to do before with the same program on the same computer.....It's making wish I never upgraded to Windows 7...

Are you connected to the internet?
Did you get the Window to activate your Component?

If you got that window and did not activate, you need to contact Cyberlink Support.

Have been in contact with Cyberlink support for over a week and they still can't help me..was hoping somebody here could. Yes I am connected to the internet and have activated the program, and I am able to go into my program. When I go to import an MPEG4 as I was able to do previously...it won't recognize them. I also have a project that I used an MPEG 4 in PD9 prior to my upgrade. When I open up the project to burn it..it can't see the MPEG 4 that I imported before..and I am not able to import it again...

Any other suggestions?

That is what I was asking about, did you get at anytime a window asking to activate the component?

Sorry for the confustion..I understand what you mean now. How do I go about activating the component? I have never had a window pop up asking me for this and I always have an internent connection. What should I do?

Your only option is to contact Cyberlink support.
