HI Again: Everytime I insert a DVD I have to click the off button to stop the subtitles form playing. Is there a way to stop them from playing automatically? Thanks again. JB

Hi,

you may check the subtitle settings in the "Settings" page of PowerDVD to tune the behaviour.

if this does not work please let me know:

- which title
- which OS Region setting you use
- which PDVD language you use
- the PowerDVD Subtitle settings
- the audio you use on the title

thanks

1. Open up "My computer".
2. Right click your DVD drive.
3. Drag down to "Properties" and click "Properties".
4. In the Properties menu click the "AutoPlay" tab.
5. Click the dropdown menu and select the filetype that you want to change the action of. This time please choose "DVD movie" .
6. Under actions select either "Select an action to perform" or "Prompt me each time to choose an action".
7. If you chose "Select an action to perform" select what action you want to perform. This time please choose "Take no action".
8. Click Apply or OK.
9. If you chose "Prompt me each time to choose an action" the next time you insert a CD or DVD with that type it will ask you what you want to do.
Then each time you insert a DVD to your DVD drive, the DVD should not be automatically played by your DVD player software.

HI qanesha86: This will not work for controlling the subtitles.

Michael: The secondary subtitles are off and stay off. The primary subtitles are the one's in question. I went to the settings page (the gear wheel, right?) and there is no means that I could see that would allow me to turn the subtitles off until I told it to turn them on. I think that you must just have to shut them off every time you start a video, at least a video that has been stored on an internal hard drive. My region is 1, in California. English. See if you can get it to stya off when you first start a vedeo from your internal hard drive. Thanks for the reply. JB

HI Michael: Yes, when the titles start playing they are in English at least, but I want to stop them from automatically playing. Thanks for your reply. JB
