I have downloaded PD10 Trail to make 3D movies and burn to Blu-ray disc. Typically I use Pinnacle, but this program can´t handle 3D, so I would try PD instead. In Pinnacle, it is very easy to make menu with links, but it does not appear in PD10. I have tried a lot of Tutorials, but no one shows how it basically works. Most tutorials that PD shows going at lightning speed, and usually starts in the middle of an event.
Therefore, I wonder if there is any tutorial detailing how to build menus or if there is a manual to read? Keckeson

Hi,
Creating menus in PD10 is done through the Create Disc module, with videos in the timeline or not (created separately). You can add your own background, buttons (if you created any), or modify an existing menu (some cannot be). I create my own background and buttons to utilize, the only drawback (my opinion) is if you have 2 or more title/chapters the same button is used for all.

I'm a newcomer here, but that means that I've been spending a lot of time with the tutorials. There's a decent tutorial on how to make a menu, if you Search the PDToots list of tutorials
http://www.youtube.com/user/PDtoots#p/search/6/ccSNU_Z7BRc

Look for "Power Director 8 First Project - Part 2" You're right that tutorials zip by very fast. What I've done, and it works for me, is to bring up the tutorial, play a very short segment with my finger on the Pause button, then go to my copy of PD 10 and repeat what the tutorial says. It's cumbersome but it works.

There are also tutorials for how to create Chapters on discs and in menus, but I'm not advanced enough to have gone through them. Bill Hansen

Thanks Bubba. That's good advice, of course. [Oops - didn't realize that you were replying to the OP, not to me.]

Yes, have checked this many times but these tutorials are not for beginners, even if you run them by stopping and starting.
I am looking for a more pedagogical instruction that starts from scratch and also shows the details.
Also believe that I have visited most of the tutorials from PD7 until PD10 dealing with menus and chapters, but there are very few in this topic.
Now, I think it's time to look for another similar program with a little more help / information. Keckeson
