PD10 CONSTANT FREEZES AND GLITCHES WHEN PRODUCING

Hi There,

I have just purchased PD10 and am having constant issues with producing videos. There are glitches and freezes at nearly every transition. I produced 40 mins of video and ended up with 18 freezes. I then tried only a 5 min video with 5 basic transitions and still ended up with 3 freezes. I have removed and reinserted all transitions, removed most of the effects and have tried procucing in several different formats.
I have used several different video rendering programes over the years but this one is getting seriously frustrating. Am I doing something wrong????

Operating system is
Windows 7 professional
64 bit
4meg ram
1 terabyte
Intel(R) Core (TM)i5 650 @ 3.20 Ghz

This system has coped well in the past with PD 8. AVS video editer. Windows live etc. All other programs have been removed except for windows live movie maker.

Well, not the tech expert here, but you should get more RAM, upgrade your video card driver from Nvidia.
Go to Nvidia website directly for that driver. Make a restore point first.
Also, are you aware that each transition can be used in different ways?

This may help a bit in understanding the different types, perhaps it is the cause of your issue. Perhaps not.
The additional RAM and driver should be considered.
