I have used this program many times to make photo montages. I would like to add some video to my montages. I have a digital camera that I have taken some video on. The files are quicktime files and when I go to "load media file" I'm able to choose the pictures from my camera but not the video files. How would I be able to upload these video files to my powerdirector project? I also have a miniDV camcorder. I was reading my user guide and it says that I need to buy a USB cable 2.0 to upload video. Do I need to buy a program for this also or will just the cable do the trick? Sorry so many questions. My daughter's first birthday is in two weeks and it would be nice to show some video of when she was born....Thank you

Hi,
I have only used PD5 and just recently upgraded to PD6, so I don't know exactly what PD4 looks like or how it works. That said, I'll try to explain what I know about your 2 questions.
1- As far as I know PD5 and PD6 don't recognize QTime files, so when you try to import the files, you don't see them in the dialog box. But, you could download a trial program that converts video files - do a serch on "video converter" at www.cnet.com.
2- If you want to "capture" video from your DV camera into PD or any other video software, you definately need to connect the camera to the computer, easiest way is with a USB cable(your dv videocamera should have come with one, check the box). If you don't have one, they are about $15 USD at any RadioSahack, Target, or any electronic retailer.
Good luck
