Hi!
I have a follow project:

Main menu.
There are only two link on the main page: play and scene.
Title menu
There are 4 part included = 4 project from the same video. This menu has classic PDR view with 4 buttons.
And because each of project has a numerous of the chapters, I would like create the next level Title menu - but only like a list without any preview videos or pictures. Just the same manner as Main menu - links only.
Is it a possible?

And another question.
Is it a possible to changhe the piece of video that is displayed on the button in the Title menu (1-st level) for the each project included for another piece from the same project/video?

Not possible to have links only, PD always has motion thumbnails, (Hard wired in Program).

You can have a Title Menu with chapters. You do that by creating separate Videos and adding chapters in the Edit module, save the Project file under a name you know, maybe "Title 1".

Do that for each of your titles.
Then in the Create Disk Module, Contents tab, add project, You will then have Titles with chapters in the scenes menus.

It is somewhat possible, but darn hard to do.

Batu -

Here's a menu template created by JL_JL (Jeff) - a forum member - that I think may be useful to you... http://directorzone.cyberlink.com/detail/153239

Sure it is possible and it's not too darn hard. All you do to get a different video playing in the Title menu (1-st level) is pan to the desired location and set. The little flag in the slider bar inset by default is the first video and defines the title menu thumbnail frame, slide it to a location in the stream you wish and "Set the current frame as title thumbnail" icon. Pretty much the same as setting chapter thumbnail scenes.

Thank you JL_JL, I do not have PD 10 so I did not know that.

It is good that Cyberlink finally did something in the menu system.

You can enjoy that same feature in PD7, PD8, PD9, and PD10.

Yes, that's what I did!

Many thanks for ynotfish and JL_JL (Jeff). How did you do it? That's exactly what I needed!
Another thanks JL_JL for advice about editing preview of the titles.

But I still do not understand. PD has such a powerful video editing and such modest and complicated editing disk's menu.

So, do we.

Editors have been asking for a better disk menu system in Powerdirector for years.

Most have said something in the forum, which Cyberlink does not read.

But, I am sure that the moderator of this forum has passed on the information to Cyberlink.

I suppose if enough of owners of Powerdirector were to file support tickets on the Menu with requests for changes, it may get to the programmers.

amen, brother! Just finished a project with brief (:30-:60) chapters (spots) and just wanted a freeze frame for the thumbnail...but impossible to do! Would be a great improvement to be able to put text or stills as thumbnail...also can they overcome the 6 button limit for chapters?

Those are just a few of the problems in the Cyberlink Powerdirector menu system.

As to the six item limit on each page, it used to be 4 items. So it did get a little better.

Still no text menu.

If you want a still image for the thumbnail, you have to put about 15 seconds of a freeze frame at the chapter point of each chapter. That kind of messes up the project.

The reason that would work, is because the motion thumbnail is about 15 seconds then repeats.

If low res (DVD and BD), the number has increased from the previous max of 6 to 14, if high res (BD 1920x1080) the number is still 4.

I'm doing the same, but have a problem that you mentioned with the thumbnails that it produces automatically, but have found no answer.

I found out how to change the thumbnail image to another portion of the scene, but there is no control over what the thumbnail is made from. It only takes a small frame image from the center of the video display. You cannot move it. You can only change the time the thumbnail is chosen. Because of this, I cannot get a decent thumbnail because nothing small enough is ever in the center of the video.

Is there a way to import a thumbnail image for that chapter or to go in and move the crop frame to the position where you would like to capture the image of the scene for the thumbnail?

I have a chapter and the thumbnail that was automatically created shows have of one face and another half of another face. I want to go in and make it at least the image of one full face, or create an image to use as a thumbnail and put it in instead.

Nothing that is the "thumbnail size" is ever centered in the video.

Thanks
