Setting video Bitrate

I'm a new user and just did my first Blu-ray.

The final file was SMALLER than the original and was only 6GB in size. I really wanted to set a much higher data rate (it showed as 15Mbps) to maintain the quality. I can't seem to find any reference to setting of bitrates so at the risk of this having already been covered some time back, does anyone know how this can be done? I mean - is the user able to set the video data rates at any stage?

Thank you

In the Create Disk Module, choose H.264 then you have the resolution drop down, there is a 1920x1080 24 Mbps profile.

You can choose MPEG-2 or H.264, H.264 uses less space, you can fit more on a disk.

MPEG-2 does not have as many Profiles as H.264.
