Hello all,

Another newbie question. I tried searching the forum for some help on this one, but was unable to find anything that might help me fix this problem. So, please excuse me if someone else has written about this before.

Anyway, here is my problem. I have a clip where at a point I want to slow it down. I split the clip, but as soon as I try to play it, I start at the beginning then as soon as it gets to the point where the split is, it stops and the cursor goes back to the start. I tried moving the new split down onto another track, and still have the problem.

How do I get the video to continue play after splitting a clip

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

Hi palma,

I think this may be what you are referencing. So just in case...

If you are in Clip Mode, only the selected clip will play. Switch to Movie Mode, and playback will continue beyond your Split. The Clip and Movie buttons, are just to the right of the Play button, in the Preview player's transport controls. Click here PDtoots for a collection of PowerDirector Tutorials and Tips
